Watch the video below to learn how to pronounce the word “brown” in Korean.
To say brown in Korean you say 갈 색. If you can’t read Hangul, the transliteration is “Kal Sek.” If you want to learn to read Korean letters for free, check out this cool Korean alphabet chart that has full audio.
Note: the word 갈 (kal) means “brown,” and the word 색 (sek) means color, so, literally, you are saying “brown color,” not just “brown.”
When describing the color of things, you need to include both words. For example, to say “brown eyes” you say 갈 색 눈 or, romanized, “kal sek noon” (눈 is the Korean word for “eyes”).
